Oklahoma State University (OSU) is a public research university located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Established in 1890, the university is a member of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and is classified as a Carnegie Research University (high research activity). OSU offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its nine colleges: Arts and Sciences; Education and Human Sciences; Engineering, Architecture and Technology; FERGUSON; Veterinary Medicine; Spears School of Business; and University College. The university is known for its strong programs in agriculture, engineering, and business, and has a reputation for producing successful graduates who go on to careers in these fields. OSU has a diverse student body, with students coming from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The university is home to over 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and has a faculty of more than 1,000. OSU is a member of the Big 12 Conference and fields teams in a variety of sports, including football, basketball, and baseball.
