Kansas State University (K-State) is a public research university located in Manhattan, Kansas. Established in 1863, K-State is the oldest public institution of higher education in the state of Kansas. The university is a member of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and is classified as a Carnegie Research University (high research activity). The university is known for its hands-on, practical approach to education, and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience through internships, research projects, and other experiential learning opportunities. In addition to its academic offerings, K-State has a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs and organizations for students to get involved in. The university also has a strong athletics program, with teams competing in the Big 12 Conference in sports such as football, basketball, and baseball.
