REQUIRED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CREDITS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE EXCHANGE
Required minimum for undergraduate students: 12 credit hours.
Maximum hours allowed per semester for undergraduates range from 17-20 depending which college (faculty) the student is enrolled in.
Required minimum for graduate students: 9 credit hours.
Maximum hours allowed per semester for graduate students is 15.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English proficiency required, see below for requirements.
LANGUAGE TEST CERTIFICATE REQUIRED? IF SO, WHICH AND WHEN: BEFORE ADMISSION OR UPON ARRIVAL?
English language proficiency is satisfied by an official score on the Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL). A minimum TOEFL of 523 (paper) or 70 (Internet with 20 writing subscore) is required for undergraduate exchange students. A 550 (paper) or 79 (internet) is the minimum TOEFL score required for graduate exchange students with some departments requiring higher scores. University of Nebraska-Lincoln TOEFL code = 6877.
Alternate proof of English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 composite (5.5 writing subscore).
If English is a non-native language, the above requirements must be satisfied upon application/before admission.

Students typically choose classes from the undergraduate and graduate bulletin. This is a complete listing of courses and not all courses are taught every semester. Please include a list of alternate courses. The exchange coordinator assists with registration. Students should be aware they are only able to take one online course per semester. Students should also be aware they are generally unable to take major Capstone courses - contact Coordinator for more information on which courses are Capstone courses.

Yes - Students must work with the International Student and Scholars Office to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Exchange students are required to arrive in Lincoln in time to attend international student orientation, which is typically held before the residence halls open for the semester. This means that students will need to arrange for early arrival if they want to stay in the residence halls prior to their official open date. Students will complete an early arrival check-in form on the housing portal to arrange early arrival. Early move-in is currently charged at a rate of $35.00 per night.
